German Ammunition Maker Adds Two Gi-720 Inspection Machines
The premier German defense/military ammo manufacturing factory recently added two more high speed inspection machines from General Inspection, LLC for small caliber ammunition. The inspection machines measure and detect visual defects on 9mm cases at rates of 300 per minute. These two inspection machines are equipped with Gi’s robust vibratory feeder systems. The addition of the two Gi-720’s gives the ammo maker a total of five Gi inspection high speed inspection machines; three Gi-6v’s and two Gi-720’s
The ammunition manufacturer chose Gi-720’s which incorporate multiple lasers and cameras to provide complete measurement and visual defect detection on all surfaces.

Gi Installs 10 Ammunition Inspection Machines to Manufacturer in Central Europe
A premier Central European defense/military ammo manufacturing factory recently installed 10 high speed inspection machines from General Inspection, LLC for small caliber ammunition and ammunition components. The inspection machines measure and detect visual defects on 7.62, 5.56, and 9mm cases, projectiles, and fully loaded cartridges at rates of 300 per minute. Each of the inspection machines are equipped with Gi’s flexible, quick changeover centrifugal feeder systems.
For case and bullet inspection, the manufacturer chose Gi-6v’s which incorporate multiple lasers and cameras to provide complete measurement and visual defect detection on all surfaces.

For many fastener-related businesses including manufacturers, distributors and end users, the inspection process has long been an expensive bottleneck demanding high investment in gauges and related tools as well as extensive man hours. In collaboration with our customers, we identified the need for technology that could deliver three-dimensional part inspection in a short time and with documentation. The result is VisionLab, a complete, versatile 3D inspection system designed for parts from 1 to 90mm diameter and is available in models that accommodate 75, 150, and 300mm part lengths. A benchtop version is popular for lab use, with an optional shop-floor enclosure the system is equipped to operate in harsh manufacturing environments.
