Gi-307 is the latest fastener 100% inspection solution from General Inspection (Gi), the world’s leading supplier. It’s a high speed, 360o inspection system with unmatched capability at an extremely competitive price point.
The Gi-307 is ideal for bolts, studs, pins, and screws. The base system comes standard with 7 cameras each with dedicated LED back lights providing 360o unobstructed profile views of each part. These 7 profiles allow the system to measure critical features such as lengths, diameters, threads, radii, angles and straightness. Additionally, front-lighting comes standard for 360o visual defect detection for defects such as bad plating, scratches, nicks on threads, and missing/misplaced thread patch.
The Gi-307 is extremely flexible, a standard vibratory bowl can be integrated with very fast part-to-part changeover. Parts are oriented and metered onto an inline conveyor that transports them from the feeder to the Gi-307’s gravity “V”-shaped track.
As the parts travel down the “V” track they pass through several optional inspection stations each with unique measurement and defect detection capabilities. The stations include: On-Track Vision for recess defects (Torx Fill, Chipped Punch, Missing Recess), Super Eddy-Current to detect presence of heat-treatment, Four camera bearing surface inspection station to detect visual defects specifically on bolts bearing surface, and a Ten camera crack detection station (cracks, seams, bursts) on the OD of the bolt head, hex, or flange.
The Gi-307 is used to inspect 100% of production with great flexibility to inspect a wide variety of parts; up to 35mm diameter and up to 150mm total length with inspection rates up to 300 parts per minute.
